The Dallas Mavericks made a poor start to the season at 1-3 but now have a genuine opportunity to bounce back. Their next opponent, the Indiana Pacers, are still searching for their first win.

The main issue for the Dallas Mavericks, oddly enough, is the abundance of stars on the roster. Jason Kidd has yet to find a way to balance Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson and Cooper Flagg on the floor together. As a result, only the centre has been consistently performing, averaging 25 points and 11.8 rebounds per game. Still, this type of problem can be considered a pleasant one. Once Kidd settles on the right combinations, the Mavericks’ results should quickly improve.
Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers fans need to prepare for a long season at the bottom of the table. The summer departure of their main centre Myles Turner and the long-term injury to star guard Tyrese Haliburton have left major holes. On top of that, key rotation players Obi Toppin, T. J. McConnell and Andrew Nembhard are sidelined through injuries. Replacing that level of experience and impact is nearly impossible.
Dallas Mavericks vs Indiana Pacers Prediction
Despite their shaky form, the Dallas Mavericks possess far greater depth and quality than this depleted Indiana Pacers side. That alone should make the difference in Texas, especially with Anthony Davis expected to dominate inside. The Mavericks should take a comfortable win.
