After the Intercontinental Derby, Galatasaray face a much smaller obstacle in Konyaspor, who sit near the bottom of the table.
Konyaspor
Konyaspor are outside the relegation zone only thanks to their superior goal difference (–3), having collected the same eight points from nine matches as 16th-placed Gençlerbirliği. They have a fairly solid defence, conceding an average of 1.0 goals per match, which is unusual for a struggling side. In the previous round, Konyaspor beat Gençlerbirliği 2:0 at home to climb out of the relegation zone, where they had spent the previous two rounds. Meanwhile, seven of their nine matches in this season's Super Lig have produced under 2.5 goals.
Galatasaray
Galatasaray dominated for most of their match against Fenerbahce (2:1). This was particularly evident before half-time, when they had 69% possession. The trio of Barış Alper Yılmaz, Aleksey Batrakov and Victor Osimhen tore through Fenerbahce's defence. All three may not start in Konya, as Galatasaray face Stuttgart in the UEFA Champions League this coming Tuesday. That could make the visitors less effective in attack.
Konyaspor vs Galatasaray Prediction
First, Galatasaray need to score at least once: their last visit to Konya ended in a 2:0 defeat without them scoring. We therefore have reservations about backing the favourites to win, but are more confident in the under 2.5 goals bet, despite its odds having risen above 2.0.
