Świątek has become the sixth player since 2000 to achieve 2 winning series of at least 18 WTA games. She’s joined Serena Williams, Victoria Azarenka, Justine Henin, Venus Williams and Lindsay Davenport.
Linda Nosková
This is the second time Linda Nosková participates in the Australian Open. She had never managed to advance to the second round in the top half of a Big Slam tournament before she did it here, in Australia. The final of the tournament in Adelaide still remains her main achievement.

Iga Świątek is unbeaten this year. She’s won 6 games in the first weeks of 2024. The Polish player beat Linda Nosková on the hard surface last year (6:1, 6:4). The Czech player basically hasn’t been successful against some top opponents. Last year, she lost 8 consecutive matches against the players from the top 10.
It’s unlikely that Iga Świątek will face problems for the second game in a row. Nosková is still to learn how to play against the top opponents.
