Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Europa League match.
Both clubs had hoped for more in the early stages of the Europa League, but after three matches, neither has secured a victory. To push into the top 24, they desperately need a win, but only one can emerge triumphant.
OGC Nice
After a lengthy run of six matches without a win, including three Europa League games, Nice have finally started winning. Their first victory was unexpected, even though it was at home, defeating an in-form AS Monaco (2:1). For Nice, it was fortunate that Monaco's full-back Vanderson Campos was sent off at the end of the first half with the score at 1:1. AS Monaco could have scored, but Nice avoided defensive errors that would have made it easy for them. They then beat Stade Brestois (1:0) away.
Twente
Twente have also won their last two matches following four consecutive defeats, seeing off Eredivisie's lower-half sides Heracles Almelo (5:0) and Willem II (1:0). However, the Europa League tells a different story: no wins and sitting outside playoff contention. The opponents are tough and will continue to be challenging. Their good finishing should help, but the Dutch side average creating one goal per game, having scored just two in total.
OGC Nice vs Twente Prediction
Currently, both teams are in similar form, creating few chances. The decisive factor could be the home field advantage, where Nice have not lost this season, even against Paris Saint-Germain. Therefore, we'll back the hosts with a zero handicap.
