But it would be rash to expect Arsenal Women to beat the French league runners-up easily away from home. In the opening round, they needed a 93rd-minute penalty from Mariona Caldentey to beat Danish side Køge Women at home by a single goal. Køge Women have reached the Champions League group stage only twice. Arsenal then lost 0:1 away to Chelsea in a Women's Super League derby.

After such a tough domestic league match, Arsenal Women are unlikely to expend much energy against Paris Women, whether consciously or not. Their main aim will be to get a result. Moreover, across their two previous meetings, both played in England, Arsenal have a lead of just one goal: they drew 3:3 in the Champions League in 2023 and won a friendly 1:0 in 2026.
