Six wins in seven games make the San Francisco 49ers clear favourites. But there is an interesting detail: only twice this season have the 49ers won by more than ten points. Their winning margins against the Arizona Cardinals (36:30), the Seattle Seahawks (32:29) and the Washington Commanders (23:17) were narrow, while they beat Denver by exactly ten points (24:14).
San Francisco 49ers
The hosts will now have to cope without three receivers — Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel and Christian Kirk. Brock Purdy remains one of the best quarterbacks this season, while Christian McCaffrey can make a play on his own. However, without several key passing targets, the offence will find it harder to score consistently.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders have plenty of defensive problems, but their offence keeps them competitive even against strong opponents. Kirk Cousins has thrown 19 touchdown passes in eight games, and the team average 27.6 points. Games against the Kansas City Chiefs (27:30) and Buffalo (30:33) showed that the Raiders can compete with strong opponents. Last time out, they beat the New York Jets (38:33).
San Francisco 49ers vs Las Vegas Raiders Prediction
The main threat to the visitors is the San Francisco 49ers' running game. The Raiders allow an average of 146.4 rushing yards, and Christian McCaffrey is more than capable of exploiting that. But even so, the hosts still need to build a double-digit lead. With the Las Vegas Raiders scoring as freely as they are, we should not expect an easy blowout.
