Both teams opened their EuroLeague campaigns with a win, but Olympiacos won much more convincingly and sit second in the standings. Zalgiris Kaunas are seventh.

Zalgiris Kaunas beat Crvena zvezda by six points in Belgrade (83:77). They lost only the second quarter (15:24). Their rebounding stood out in particular: they led the opening round with 33 defensive rebounds and 46 overall. That also showed in the points they conceded, with only four teams allowing fewer.
Olympiacos
Olympiacos, though, produced the most impressive overall performance. They comfortably topped the PIR rankings with 137 — the combined efficiency rating of every player who took to the court. Their nearest rivals, Panathinaikos, had 119. That was reflected in their away win over Baskonia (106:89). Their defence was less reliable, but their attack was very difficult to stop. Tyler Dorsey (25) and Aleksandar Vezenkov (22) contributed almost 50 points between them.
Zalgiris Kaunas vs Olympiacos Prediction
Zalgiris Kaunas conceded at least 94 points in both meetings with Olympiacos last season, although one of them, at home, went to overtime. Given that and the start to this campaign, we think backing Olympiacos to score at least 86 points is a viable bet.
