How We Choose the Best Wimbledon Betting Sites

We know that you want to use only the best Wimbledon betting site when placing a wager. That is why we review as many of the sports betting sites out there as we can, so that you do not need to waste time searching for yourself. When considering the best Wimbledon betting site, we use a number of parameters to determine the quality of each of the online bookmakers that we review. In this section, we detail those parameters to give you a better understanding of what we look for when choosing the best sites for Wimbledon tennis betting.

Wimbledon Betting Odds

We know that punters want good value for money when betting on Wimbledon, which is why we only recommend Wimbledon betting sites who offer great value Wimbledon tennis betting odds. We also look for online bookmakers who offer enhanced odds, bet boosts or power prices, in order to give you the biggest bang for your Wimbledon betting buck.

Wimbledon Betting Markets

When it comes to reviewing online bookmakers, we always consider the number and variety of different Wimbledon betting markets. We know that bettors are not necessarily only interested in outright betting, but also want something a bit different, too, such as whether Novak Djokovic can meet Roger Federer's record eight Wimbledon titles, or if Andy Murray can reach the semi-finals.

Bonuses and Promotions

Bonuses and promotions always make sports betting more fun, so why shouldn't the same be true when it comes to Wimbledon tennis betting? That is why we only recommend a betting site if it has some decent promotions available. The best betting sites have promotions that reward existing customers, as well as new ones.

Bookmaker App

The best Wimbledon betting sites will have a mobile app available for customers to download. We know that the convenience of mobile betting is essential for some customers, which is why we review each of our recommended Wimbledon betting sites to ensure that their mobile app is simple, straightforward and intuitive to use.

Live Streaming

Live streaming and in-play betting can make tennis betting more fun, as well as enabling bettors to stay bang up to date with all of the action. Therefore, we assess the live streaming offering of every online bookmaker that we recommend.

Customer Support

Customer support tends to be something that punters don't think about until there is a problem. Unfortunately, poor customer support can make things even worse. That is why we review the customer service quality of all our recommended betting sites, to check for good availability and excellent customer service interactions.

Most Popular Wimbledon Betting Markets

There are many different betting markets when it comes to Wimbledon. In this section, we discuss the most popular Wimbledon betting markets available to tennis bettors.

Match Winner

With a match winner market, you are betting on a player to win a specific tennis match.

Outright Tournament Winner

When betting on an outright tournament winner market, you are betting on the player that you think is going to win the whole tournament. For example, you might bet on Novak Djokovic to win the Wimbledon men's singles title.

Set Betting

With set betting markets, you are betting on how many sets you think there will be in a match. As well as the total number of sets in a match, you can also place specific bets on, for example, a 3-0 result or a 2-1 result. Or even, in the case of a grand slam tournament, a 3-2 set finish.

Handicap Betting

When one player is vastly superior to another, as can often be the case at Wimbledon, placing a bet on the result of a tennis match is fairly pointless, as the underdog is very unlikely to win, while the odds on the favourite would be incredibly low and not worth taking. In this instance, handicap betting comes into play.

With handicap betting, the underdog is essentially given a head start, in order to compensate for their reduced ability. For example, if you bet on the favourite with a handicap of 2.5 sets, they would need to win the match in three straight sets in order for your bet to win. Of course, it is still incredibly likely that the favourite will win, but slightly less likely that they will win in three straight sets, so you would find better odds for this bet, making it a potentially more lucrative wager.

In Play Win the Next Game/Set

In play betting markets can make tennis betting more exciting, as you are betting on the match as it unfolds. With this type of market, you are betting on the player to win the next game or set, so you do not need to wait long to see if your wager is successful.

Wimbledon 2023 Odds

In this section, we share some of the Wimbledon final odds available at various bookmakers; that is, the Wimbledon winner odds for the outright winner of the whole competition. Below, we present tables of both the Wimbledon odds for men's singles and ladies' singles currently available. Obviously, these Wimbledon finals odds are subject to change, and no doubt they will as the tournament progresses.

The Best Site with Wimbledon Betting Odds

Having searched for the top Wimbledon betting sites, we have done some comprehensive research to find the best of the best. It is incredibly unlikely that one betting site will ALWAYS have the best odds on every possible market but the betting exchange Matchbook is going to be close. This is especially true of the outsiders in the tournament and any longer odds bet on an individual match. They have recently introduced a sportsbook feature known as Matchbook Zero where any stake up to £20 gets the same great odds as the exchange but without paying commission.

#ad / 18+. Only new users registered using the “MB20” bonus code are eligible. You must make a qualifying bet of 1.8 minimum odds within 14 days of registration to claim this new customer offer. The maximum refund is £20 as a Free bet, expiring after seven days. Deposits via paysafecard, Neteller, or Skrill are exempt. Matchbook’s general Terms and Conditions apply. Wimbledon Betting Offers

There are various offers available to punters betting on Wimbledon. Here, we explain some of the different Wimbledon betting offers that bettors may come across when looking for Wimbledon bets.

Acca Insurance / Acca Rewards

There are several different types of acca bonuses available to Wimbledon bettors.

Firstly, there is acca insurance. Acca insurance pays out if just one leg of your accumulator bet lets you down. In order to benefit from Acca insurance, bettors must place a qualifying acca bet, usually with minimum odds and a minimum number of selections. Acca insurance usually comes in the form of cash or a Free bet, to the value of your initial stake.

Secondly, there are acca rewards. Acca rewards pay punters a bonus on top of their expected winnings, if all of the selections in their accumulator bet win. Some bookmakers offer as much as a 70% cash bonus, depending on the number of selections your qualifying bet has.

Enhanced Odds

Enhanced odds can also be called power prices or price boosts. Essentially, they are better-than-usual odds on specific markets, which will give bettors increased value for money, if they win. There are no special rules for placing a bet with enhanced Wimbledon tennis odds; punters simply need to see what their favoured bookmaker has to offer, and place their bet as usual. Selections with enhanced price odds are usually marked clearly on Wimbledon tennis bookmaker websites, so they should not be hard to find.

Retirement Guarantee

A retirement guarantee is as it sounds: If you place an outright bet on a specific player and they retire early from the match, you will receive a reward or bonus. Usually, this will be to the value of your initial stake.

Wimbledon Live Betting

Explain if it exists, what it is and where you can watch Wibledon in the UK, in addition what bookmakers are supporting live betting for Wimbledon.

Wimbledon live betting is exactly as it sounds - the ability to bet on Wimbledon tennis matches live, as they happen. Most Wimbledon bookies offer in-play betting markets such as player to win next game or set. You can even bet on which player will win the next point.

While enjoying in-play betting, it of course makes sense that you would want to watch the tennis match live, at the same time. BBC iPlayer allows viewers with a TV licence to watch all of the Wimbledon matches live for free, while online bookies such as Unibet, Paddy Power, Bet365, Betway and William Hill allow their customers to watch live streams of Wimbledon, too.

Strategies to Win on Tennis Betting for Wimbledon

While we obviously cannot guarantee that your Wimbledon bet will win, we can suggest some Wimbledon betting strategies that might increase your chances. Here, we share some of our top betting strategies when betting on Wimbledon.

Do Your Research

With any sports bet, but especially tennis, it is important for you to do your research before placing your bet. For example, there is little point in backing a previous Grand Slam champion, if they have recently had knee surgery or are nursing a niggling injury. Likewise, there may be an up-and-coming tennis star that you have never heard of, that the tipsters are rating for potential success. These things can only be discovered through careful research of newspaper articles, bookmaker blogs and the accounts of those-in-the-know on social media.

Consider the Surface

Different tennis players fare differently on different surfaces, so it is worth considering that before placing your Wimbledon wagers. Wimbledon is played on grass courts, so there is no point in looking at who won the last Grand Slam and backing them, as Roland Garros is played on clay, which requires something of a different skill set.

On grass, typically the fastest servers fare best, as fast serves are the most difficult to return, while those who can move quickly on grass are also more likely to do well. So it is worth looking out for players who do better on grass than on clay.

Set Your Betting Budget

When it comes to Wimbledon betting, the most important strategy to keep things fun is to set yourself a betting budget, and then stick to it. It might be easier and more enjoyable to split your budget into a series of smaller bets, which you can then spread across the various Wimbledon markets throughout the tournament.

For example, rather than betting £20 on an outright winner, instead bet £5, then split the other £15 across a series of smaller match winner bets or in play game or set bets. Most importantly, remember to gamble responsibly and never try to chase your losses.

Wimbledon Betting Tips

Now that you have considered some strategies for betting on Wimbledon, it is time to consider some Wimbledon betting tips to help you to decide where to place your wagers. Here, we present our top Wimbledon tips with regards to the players we think might do well at the Championship this year.

Novak Djokovic

It would be completely naive to rule out Novak Djokovic from winning Wimbledon this year. Having won the last four consecutive Championships, Djokovic requires just one more Wimbledon title in order to match Roger Federer's record eight wins. No doubt he will be hungry for another Wimbledon title so his competitor will need to pull out all the stops to stand a chance of beating him.

Daniil Medvedev

Medevedev was unable to compete at Wimbledon last year, and he's also yet to progress past the fourth round at the Championship. However, many bookies have him listed as third-favourite to win the tournament this year, so even if you do not fancy his chances at an all-out win, it might be worth a punt on Daniil Medvedev to reach the final or semi-finals, depending on your attitude to risk.

Jannik Sinner

Jannik Sinner is yet to win a Grand Slam title, but he has got plenty of ATP titles to his name. He managed to get as far as the quarter finals last year before being knocked out by Djokovic, so it might be worth placing a wager on the Italian to progress further this year.

Iga Swiatek

Despite lacking somewhat on grass in the past, many bookies have Iga Swiatek as favourite to win the Wimbledon ladies' title this year following her win in the French Open earlier this year.

Elena Rybakina

Last year's winner Elena Rybakina now has a proven record of success on grass, and it makes sense that she will be hungry to retain her title this year.

Cori Gauff

Outsider Cori Gauff is chasing her first Grand Slam win. She has twice progressed as far as the fourth round at Wimbledon but shows promise to go further, so it might be worth a punt on Gauff to at least get as far as the quarter finals.

What Is Wimbledon?

The Wimbledon Championships, known as Wimbledon, is the oldest and most prestigious annual tennis tournament in the world. One of the four Grand Slam tournaments, it was first held at the All England Club in Wimbledon, London, England in 1877 and is still played there to this day. The competition is played on outdoor grass courts (although retractable roofs were installed over the two main courts in 2019).

Wimbledon typically takes place over two weeks in late June and early July (although this year, it starts on 3rd July). It is the only Grand Slam to have a night time curfew, although matches can continue until 11pm with the aid of floodlights. The retractable roofs over the two main courts allow play to continue in the case of rain, meanging that playing time is not lost.

Wimbledon famously has a strict all-white dress code for competitors, a royal patron and strawberries and cream are the traditional snack of choice at the tournament. The competition also has the world's longest-running sporting sponsorship, with Slazenger provided the tennis balls for Wimbledon since 1902.
