Review of the bookmaker Bet UK from Legalbet
Bet UK launched in 2012 and was initially owned by Intellectual Property & Software Ltd (IP&S). In 2018, it was bought by LeoVegas Mobile Gaming Group – one of the UK’s best-known online gambling giants. In just over a decade, Bet UK has amassed a plethora of betting markets and casino games and is a name known by the majority of people who are into online gambling.
Odds — normal
We calculated the margin for Bet UK by analyzing the odds they offer and placed them into one of the following three categories:
From 1% to 5%: Good value
Over 5% to 7%: Average value
Over 7% to 10%: Poor value
We analysed the odds for the match result outcomes and also the over/under 2.5 goals markets for several different football leagues. Getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and the overall betting margin for the bookmaker.
Bet UK has an overall average margin of 6.76% for football and falls in the average value category. In the first section with Premier League and Championship, the margin is at 3.57%. The second section with Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A, the margin is at 7.09%. Finally, taking the leagues from the rest of the world into account, the margin is at 9.63%.
Betting options — normal
Bet UK has 37 betting markets to choose from, including the expected sports and some not so expected options, like Trotting – one we don’t see often! See below for the full list, or check out the A-Z section on the site: American Football, Australian Rules, Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Boxing, Chess, Cricket, Curling, Cycling, Darts, Esports, Floorball, Football, Formula 1, Golf, Greyhounds, Handball, Horse Racing, Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Motorsports, Netball, Padel, Politics, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Snooker, Surfing, TV & Novelty, Table Tennis, Tennis, Trotting, UFC/MMA, Volleyball, WWE/Pro Wrestling, and Winter Sports.
Live — normal
Bet UK has a large selection of sports available for In-Play betting, including football, tennis, basketball, darts, and more. Clicking into a match will bring up all the options for live betting, of which there are loads! There’s something for everyone, regardless of which aspect of games you prefer to bet on.
Bet UK only offers live streaming for some of its games; however, the matches without a stream are updated in real-time. Games with a stream include Esports, where Bet UK has partnered with Twitch to bring you games as they’re happening.
Bet UK Mobile App
The Bet UK mobile app is available for bettors using both Android and iOS. It offers sports and casino games, meaning customers don’t need to miss out if they’re on the move.
How to Register at Bet UK
To sign up with Bet UK, it only takes five simple steps:
On the home page, click the “Join” button on the right of the window. This will take you to the next page, where you will be asked to input all your details as part of the registration process. The support team is available 24/7 in case you have any questions.
The first section of this page asks you to enter your email address, username, and password. Be sure to make your password memorable but secure, and ensure it meets the password strength requirements listed. The username can be anything you want within reason, and it doesn’t have to be your name. Scroll down once you’ve filled all sections.
This next section will ask for some personal details. Enter your gender, first name, and last name – be sure this matches your ID – and your date of birth. You must be over eighteen to use this service. When you’re ready, scroll down again.
This final section asks you to enter contact details. This is your address and phone number. It’s important to note that both of these must be UK details, as no other options are available in the dropdowns. When you’re done, select your marketing preferences, and click “Create Account” at the bottom of the screen.
You may be asked to submit further documents; however, if your details all match, this is unlikely. You’ll be presented with a confirmation that your account is ready to use, and from here, you can start to explore everything the site has to offer.
How to Deposit at Bet UK
If you’d like to deposit, you can select “Deposit” in the top right-hand corner or click “Banking” and then “Deposit” – both will take you to the same page. Once you have a payment method set up, you can just click “Deposit”, and this will save your details for next time.
You’ll be able to now choose from a variety of payment options: bank transfer, debit card (Visa and Mastercard), or PayPal. Be mindful that the minimum you can deposit is £10. Choose which method is most suitable for you and enter your details.
Enter your payment method details and specify how much you’d like to deposit. You’ll also be able to opt-in to any new customer offer that may be available to you, or you can opt not to have a bonus at all.
Once you’ve made your bonus selection, you’ll need to agree to the terms and conditions. Links are provided to you in case you want to read them in detail. Once you’re happy, click “Deposit;” bear in mind that if you’re paying by card, you may need to approve this from within your banking app for security purposes. Your balance will be updated immediately, and this will be visible in the top right.
How to Bet at Bet UK
To place a bet at Bet UK, just follow these steps:
From the home page, select “Betting” to go to the sports section. This will bring up all live matches, which you can filter and sort as you wish. To view more details on a match, you can click on it. You can also view upcoming games that are available to bet on.
When you know what you’d like to bet on, click on the match. This will bring up a more detailed overview of your selection, along with real-time updates if the game is in play. Click on any odds to bring up your betslip.
Your betslip will appear in the bottom right. Enter how much you’d like to stake. For example, we staked £5 on San Marino winning the Euro Qualifier match against Slovenia. You can add other bets as well, and when you’re happy with how your betslip looks, you can click “Place Bet”.
How to Withdraw at Bet UK
The withdrawal process at Bet UK is very similar to that of making a deposit. First, select the banking option on the right of the homepage. Select “Withdrawal” from the options presented to you. You will only be able to withdraw your available balance, with a minimum of £10 for all payment methods.
You will now see your options for withdrawal. Bear in mind that if you have only deposited via a debit card, for example, you will only be able to withdraw to that same debit card. Select the option applicable to you.
This next screen will show your card details and an option to specify how much you’d like to withdraw. The withdrawal times vary, so ensure you check this so your expectations are managed. Click “Withdraw” when you are happy with the details.
Your payment will then be sent for processing, and you will be shown a confirmation message. An email will also be sent to you with approximate time frames once your withdrawal is approved. The email was received by us almost instantly for our debit card withdrawal, and we were given a timeframe of 2-5 days.
Licensing & Safety
Bet UK is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission; its licence number is 39198. At the time of writing, there has been one regulatory action in recent years. On the 3rd of August 2022, Bet UK’s parent company LeoVegas was fined £1.32 million for failures in social responsibility and anti-money laundering regulations.

We started a live chat to gauge what level of support you can expect with Bet UK. Initially, we were directed to use the Help Centre, but we pressed on and opted to start a chat. It asked for some details and our initial message. We were immediately put in queue position one and had a response within seconds. The operator was extremely polite and friendly, so all in all, it’s safe to say Bet UK’s live chat is a good option for customer support.
Bet UK Casino Review
While Bet UK is geared towards sports betting, it also has a casino section. Don’t be fooled into thinking this has been added as an afterthought to appeal to a larger market; Bet UK itself states that it is “a leading online casino games provider.” It offers an immense amount of slot games – partnering with Megaways – along with others by other well-known providers such as Evolution and Slingo. Alongside these, Bet UK also offers classic table games, like Blackjack, Poker, Roulette, and Solitaire. The variety means players are spoiled for choice and will be sure to find something they enjoy.
The Bet UK live casino offers a range of games, just like the non-live section. Evolution has provided Bet UK with some exclusive Blackjack and Roulette games, which you won’t find on any other site. Bet UK has also made a point of offering as many camera angles as possible, meaning players won’t miss any of the action.
Popular live table games will provide players with an immersive experience, complete with other real players seeking the same thrills and a live croupier – all of whom you can interact with via a live chat.
