The surprise win by Roma over Wolfsburg (1:0) in the opening round of the group stage should be viewed with scepticism. It's no wonder that bookmakers favour Olympique Lyonnais in the upcoming clash, as their experience will likely lead them to attack more frequently and avoid significant mistakes.
AS Roma (women)
A month ago, Roma suffered their last defeat of the season, losing away to Juventus (1:2). In the subsequent three matches, they conceded one goal in each against weaker opponents but managed to secure victories nonetheless. The Italian side's dominance over Galatasaray in Istanbul (6:1) is certainly impressive (20-2 in shots on target), but against Wolfsburg, they were quite fortunate (17-23 in shots).
Olympique Lyonnais (women)
In their nine official matches this season, Olympique Lyonnais have secured eight victories. They haven't conceded a goal since September 27th, maintaining eight consecutive clean sheets, with a recent thrashing of Guingamp (8:0) highlighting their domestic dominance. In the Champions League, the reigning finalists have also started confidently, with a deserved win over Wolfsburg (2:0) (6-2 in shots on target).
