How to Choose Tennis Betting Sites

Tennis betting is available in almost all betting shops. This begs the question: how do you determine the best tennis betting site in the UK? We've highlighted the main criteria to make it easier for you to choose.

Line

The first and most obvious criterion is the line and its size. ATP and WTA matches are everywhere. At the ITF level, however, there is a difference depending on the bookmaker.

For example, there is William Hill, the undisputed leader in the number of tennis competitions (around 70 tournaments, including long-term bets). And then there's Betfred, which only covers ATP and WTA matches. You probably already know exactly what you plan to bet on. So at the first stage, take a look at a bookmaker's line and mark the presence/absence of tournaments you want.

Choice of markets

In most cases you can bet on the result of a match, games sets handicaps, totals, exact scores, set correct scores. For most people, this is enough. But we recommend paying attention to nuances. For example, some bookmakers offer only two tennis handicap betting options or O/U bets for a particular tennis match — above or below one particular number. And if you're sure of significant advantage of one of the athletes and want to take a chance and bet with higher odds, you need to find a tennis betting site that offers a variety of handicap bets.

Bets on statistics such as breaks, eights, double faults and other indicators stand out. The betting markets are offered by a very small number of bookmakers (William Hill, BoyleSports).

Odds

They are important because they determine the potential winnings at a betting site. The higher the odds, the bigger payouts. Excellent tennis odds are found at Quinnbet, Parimatch, William Hill and Betway.

The Smarkets betting exchange stands out against them. The exchanges have better odds by default. If you want to bet at favourable odds, definitely consider this option.

Video streaming

If a player is betting on tennis, he or she will probably be interested in watching an event live. And for those who specialise solely in live betting, live streaming is a necessity.

There are bookmakers in the UK with conditionally free video streaming, where you have to make a deposit or have a positive balance to watch. You can watch live tennis at William Hill and BoyleSports.

Statistics

Most punters use statistics when analysing a match and making a prediction. Ideally, all statistics should be at your fingertips, preferably right on a bookmaker's website.

Promotions

On rare occasions, bookmakers offer special promotions for tennis betting. They are mostly associated with Grand Slam tournaments. But there are also general offers that are indirectly related to tennis. For example, bonuses for placing bets, including on tennis.

How important it is in choosing a bookmaker is debatable. Tennis promotions are a great addition to a betting service, but they cannot be seen as a determining factor. A company can offer free bets with low odds and a mediocre market choice, and you won't find any streaming. Obviously, even a promotion will not cover all the shortcomings.

Other factors

Interesting features that don't get into any of the above categories. Best betting sites for tennis have CashOut, BetBuilder and regularly provide Boosted Odds.

How to Place a Bet on Tennis

The instructions for tennis online betting are simple and consist of few steps.

  1. Choosing a bookmaker, registering and funding your account. In this article, we have described the characteristics of the best sites for tennis betting. Check them out and find the best option based on your preferences. Create an account and make a deposit.
  2. Event Search. All tennis events can be found in the category of the same name — "Tennis". It can be found in the sections "Sports" (betting before sporting events) and "In-Play"/"Live" (betting during sporting events). First, decide which format you want to bet in. Second, open the "Tennis" category and find an event you want. Once you open the category, the classification of tennis events will appear — ATP, WTA, Challenger, ITF, UTR. Such classification makes it easier to find the tournament and event you are looking for.
  3. Selecting an outcome. When you go to a tournament's page, you will see a list of events, together with win and possibly totals/handicaps markets. Open a specific event to see the detailed list of markets. Study all betting options offered and choose your own. To do this, click on the odds of an outcome you wish to bet on. Repeat this action to add other markets to the bet slip to make an accumulator or a system bet.
  4. Filling in the betslip. The final stage is to check the betslip, complete and confirm the bet. Check if the outcomes are correct. Enter a bet amount and take a look at the potential payout. Check the contents of the betslip and click "Place Bet".
  5. Ready. Your real money sports bet is placed.

Tennis Betting Tips

Nuances of tennis courts

One of the key factors affecting pre-match predictions is the surface on which the match will be played. There are four main surfaces in modern tennis: hard, clay, grass and carpet. Of these, it is only on carpet that the Grand Slams are not played.

Each surface has its own characteristics, the main one being the bounce. On clay, for instance, the bounce is high and slow, which negates the importance of a serve and makes a game longer and slimmer. The advantage on clay is for the more technical and psychologically balanced players.

On grass, serving is very important. Players with a strong serve have a big advantage here. And generally speaking, due to the low and fast bounce, grass courts are mostly played in three or four shots.

A hard surface is somewhere between clay and grass. That's why most tennis players consider hard to be the most "fair" surface, showing the objective strength of each player.

World ranking position is not a benchmark

It is no coincidence that the discussion of rankings comes after the discussion of surfaces. The difference in the performance of many tennis players on different surfaces is so significant that ranking becomes completely irrelevant. The official ATP of WTA ranking should be the last thing you consider. Despite its objectivity, it is more likely to confuse you than to help in tennis betting.

Tournament status and competitor motivation

Motivation is one of the key factors in the pre-match analysis. If everything else is equal, it is the motivation that has a decisive influence on the result of the match.

For tennis players, a court is a workplace, so their main motivation is money. And the amount of money earned depends on the tournament prize pool. But there is an additional motivation - the home status of a tournament, a large support group in the tribunes, a prospect of promotion in the rankings, a fight for a place in the final tournament of a year, or even personal relationships between players.

One of the key factors in players' motivation is the status of the tournament. No matter what kind of form players are in, they will always fight to the last in the Grand Slams. Slightly less prestigious, but also very popular are the Masters tournaments.

Be wary of small competitions where serious players come to play. Often they enter a tournament solely to collect prize money for their participation. In this case, their performance is over as early as the first two rounds.

H2H is the basis of analysis

In every sport, there is such a thing as a "comfortable" and "uncomfortable" opponent. Sometimes it happens that a top-ranked player has a tough time against a player in the second hundred of the ATP or WTA ranking. And it seems that other world tennis leaders can easily deal with him or her, but a particular one cannot.

In this case we are talking about an "uncomfortable opponent". The inconvenience lies in the style of play, the manner of pitching, the working hand (left-handed, right-handed). Don't forget to pay attention to the coverage. A potentially uncomfortable opponent on ground can turn into a passable opponent on grass.

How to read tennis players' form

Current form, rather than ranking and match history, should be the key factor influencing your tennis betting system and bets. Current form is easy to determine, just watch 2 or 3 of each player's last matches (at least two weeks before the match that you are going to bet on).

We would like to caution you against betting on a tennis player with a higher ranking position, but with questionable form. Practice shows that such bets are rarely profitable.

In this respect, it is far more advantageous to play the reverse tactic — betting against favourites in poor form.

What kind of statistics do you need for betting?

No quality pre-match analysis is possible without detailed statistics. Nothing will give you a comprehensive picture of the coming clash as the world of numbers.

First and foremost, you should pay attention to the winning percentages of first and second serves, as well as games on own serves. If you are going to bet on a weaker tennis player, it is these indicators that will determine his ability to hold his own against a favourite for as long as possible.

Don't forget to look at the ratio of winners and unforced errors. For example, if you are betting on a solid well-defending player, it is advantageous to bet against an actively attacking player with a high number of unforced errors, even if there are a lot of winners.

Tennis Betting Markets

Tennis betting sites in the UK have an extensive line of tennis betting options. Frequently occurring outcomes include:

  • Match winner.

  • 1st set winner.

  • Total of games/sets.

  • Win by a handicap.

  • Individual game totals.

  • Individual statistics totals (e.g. aces, double faults, break points, etc.).

  • Exact score.

  • Long-term bets.

Let's look at the most popular types of tennis betting in examples.

Match winner

The player is simply required to guess the winner of a match, without any additional conditions. Here, a player's form must be carefully considered. These are the factors that will help guide you:

  • Injuries.

  • Results of recent matches.

  • Changes in the coaching staff.

  • Importance of the upcoming match for a tennis player, motivation degree.

  • Court surface. Some tennis players are better on clay, some on grass.

  • Head-to-head encounters between opponents.

Example of the bet

On 23 June 2022 Daniil Medvedev and Roberto Bautista Agut met in the quarter-finals of the ATP 500 tournament. The Russian was the clear favourite. Bookmakers were giving odds of 3/10 on his victory. However, the Spaniard, then world number 19, won the match.

On the one hand, it seems to have been a sensation. After all, Medvedev, number one in the world rankings, managed to lose in two sets without putting up much resistance to his opponent. However, on closer analysis of the match it was impossible to say that the Russian was the clear favourite. And here's why.

Roberto Bautista Agut is Medvedev's most uncomfortable opponent. The Spaniard has beaten Medvedev in Chennai 2017, Cincinnati 2020 and Miami 2021. And Agut has always won on Medvedev's favourite surface — hard court.

The match itself was played on grass. Medvedev does not always play well on grass, so it was not worth expecting great tennis from the world number one.

Agut has proven to the world many times that he can play on equal terms with the best tennis players in the world, defeating Novak Djokovic three times.

Medvedev's fitness has not been at its best. The Russian has played without a break since mid-May, taking part in the Geneva Open, Roland Garros, Libema Open and Terra Wortmann Open. Four big tournaments in 30 days without a rest before facing his most uncomfortable opponent. This factor was not in favour of the Russian.

As you can see, the bookies were badly mistaken about Medvedev's superiority over Roberto Agut. The result of the encounter confirms this. The Russian failed to seize the initiative in the match, lost in two sets and dropped out of the tournament.

Total

This type of bet does not involve predicting the winner of the game. The bettor only needs to guess the number of games, sets and other indicators that can occur in a match. Total tennis bets are bets on the number of games, sets and other scores that can occur in a match. Total over is called "TO" / "Over", total under is called "TU" / "Under".

Example of the bet

In the Italian Open match between Alexander Zverev and Stefan Tsitsipas on May 14, 2022, a bet was made on the total of games - Total over (21.5). It would win if 22 or more games were played in the match. This bet was reasonable, as:

  • Both opponents are evenly matched in terms of strength. So, the match is expected to be exciting, tense and unlikely to end in two sets.

  • The opponents have met as many as 11 times before this match, 8 of them by TO (21.5) in games.

The match ended with a score 1:2 (6:4; 3:6; 3:6). The total number of games played was 28.

Handicap

In tennis handicap betting, a handicap can be for set scores and game scores. A handicap bet means that you predict the victory or defeat of one of the tennis players with a certain advantage. Bookmakers offer a minus handicap on a favourite and a plus handicap on an underdog. A minus handicap increases the odds compared to a win, while a plus handicap decreases the odds. More often than not, a bookmaker will offer values that allow you to bet at odds around 2.0.

Example of the bet

A bookie offers to bet on player X with a handicap (-1.5) in sets. The choice of this bet means that player X, in a bettor's opinion, will win a 5-set match by 3-0 or 3-1. A 3-2 is not good enough, because if we deduct the -1.5 handicap, we end up with 1.5-2 in sets. This means that the bet is lost.

In the same line, we can bet on player Y with a handicap (+1.5). This means that our bet will win, unless he loses by more than one set. We're fine with a 3-2 in favour of player X, and of course any win for Y.

Handicaps can be not only fractional, but also integer. They can also be called handicaps with insurance. For example, sometimes you might see a bookmaker offering to bet on player X with a handicap (-1). It means that if the player wins 3-1 or 3-0, the bet wins, and if the score is 3-2, we get a draw. In that case, the bet will be refunded.

One of the most popular markets in tennis is a handicap by games, in a particular set or in a whole match. Betting on a handicap by games in a whole match is not simple, as we can accurately guess the winner, but not his advantage. For example, we bet on player X with a handicap (-2.5) on games. He wins 2-1 in sets (6-4, 2-6, 6-4). The advantage of 2 points after deducting the handicap turns into -0.5, the bet loses.

Exact score

Betting on an exact score has always been considered one of the most difficult bets in any sport. Tennis is no exception. However, while in football the score can be anything, in tennis the choice of exact score is limited. After all, a match ends when one of the players wins 2 or 3 sets, depending on the rules of the tournament.

Let's take a look at a two-set-to-win tournament.

To win a match, tennis players need to take two sets. Correspondingly, a match can end with the scores 2-0, 2-1, 0-2 or 1-2. Therefore, for punters, the task of picking the exact score becomes a little easier. However, in order to win a bet, a punter again needs analysis. Otherwise, you will lose again and again.

What to pay attention to when analysing:

  • Who is the favourite and what is the form.

  • How often a player finishes with a clean sheet.

  • On which surface an encounter will be played.
  • Face-to-face matches between the opponents.

  • Statistics of successful serves and wins on the opponent's serve.

Game score

Tennis betting in-play can be as fast as possible. The best tennis betting sites allow you to bet in-play on almost every ball played.

A particularly popular betting strategy is to bet on the exact score in a game - 40:40. The point is that they usually give good odds, around 3.0 or even higher. At the same time, if a match is more or less even, such a score is very likely.

Break bets are possible. A break is a game won on the opponent's serve. As we wrote above, betting against a server is more profitable in matches played on clay, and less profitable for grass encounters.

There is also a game-by-game race - betting on who wins first, for example 3 or 4 games. For this kind of bet, it is important who starts the set on serve. This player will have a better chance of being the first to win the required number of games.

Tournament winner

The tournament outright market will often have the possibility to bet on who will simply reach the final. Depending on the draw this is sometimes a smart move if the top seeds are in a different half to your chosen player, they could have an easier run to the final while the main favourites knock each other out.

If you want to bet on who will win a tournament, you should pay attention to basically the same factors as in betting on individual match wins: how well a tennis player performs on the surface where a tournament is played and how fit he or she is.

In one match, the weather can make a big difference, and it is worth taking this into account. In a tournament, the effects of weather cannot be taken into account.

Don't load up on top players in smaller tournaments: they often go there to get money for participating or to warm up before the main competitions start.

Tennis Betting Strategies

If you want to bet intelligently on tennis, you can't do without a strategy. But remember: there are no win-win strategies.

Betting strategy by set

Statistically, most meetings where you need to win three sets to win do not end in a clean sheet. Therefore, the strategy by set will be to find a match with equally strong opponents, wait for the result of the first set and bet on the losing tennis player. As a rule, the odds after the 1st set will be at least 3/1 on the underdog. In case the underdog loses the 2nd set as well, we again bet on his victory, but in the 3rd set.

The biggest tennis competitions, where the game lasts to three winning sets, are the Grand Slams. These include:

  • Australian Open;

  • Roland Garros;

  • Wimbledon;

  • US Open.

40:40 betting strategy

This strategy is intended for live betting. Its essence is whether or not the score will be 40-40 in a particular game.

Typically, every third game sees this score, and bookmakers put the odds on this type of outcome always in the 3/2 to 3/1 range. So if our prediction turns out to be wrong in one of the games, we place a similar bet on the next game.

Summary of the strategy: two bets of £10 are lost and one bet has won. The winnings are £40 (£10 x 3/1). The total profit is £10 (£40 - £10 - £10 - £10).

If your bankroll allows, you can double each subsequent bet. On the one hand, your winnings will be much higher. However, in the case of a long losing streak, there is a chance of losing all your money.

Betting on a favourite strategy

The classic strategy of betting on the favourite is still popular. Experienced punters recommend betting on a tennis player whose odds of winning range from 3/5 to 7/10.

Typically, odds above 7/10 indicate that there is no clear favourite in an encounter. This means that underdogs may well put up a fight and beat their opponent. However, bets below 3/5 should not be taken into consideration either, as each losing bet will need to be covered by 3-4 wins. Which is also unlikely.

Furthermore, if you are good at tennis and almost never lose 5 times in a row, then pick 5 matches and allocate a certain amount of money to this series of bets. For example, £100. Divide your bankroll into 5 parts (1%, 3%, 9%, 24% and 63%) and bet alternately until your bet wins.

Example.

  • Betting 1% of the bankroll, £1. Odds 7/10. Lose.

  • Betting 3% of our bankroll, £3. Odds  3/5. Lose.

  • Bet 9% of our bankroll - £9. Odds 3/5. Lose.

  • Betting 24% of our bankroll is £24. Odds 13/20. Lose.

  • Bet 63% of our bankroll, £63. Odds 7/10. Win.

Total winnings - £107.1 (£63 x 7/10).

Net profit - £7.1 (£107.1 - £100).

As you can see, even after losing 4 games in a row, you were able to make up your losses with just one bet. But if you hit a losing streak, you will lose your entire bankroll after the 5th bet. Therefore, such a betting strategy on a favourite is recommended only for experienced players who have an excellent understanding of tennis and can thoroughly analyse each match.

Popular Tennis Betting Tournaments

The first international tennis tournaments were held at the end of the 19th century. Initially, only a few competitors took part in them. But already in 1896 tennis competitions appeared in the Olympic Games. Almost at the same time tournaments of different levels began to be organised. Some of them still exist today.

There are many tennis international and national competitions today. But the best choice of markets, and often the highest tennis betting odds, are offered by bookmakers only on the top tournaments. We compiled a selection of the most popular tennis competitions.

US Open

The US Open was first held in 1881 in Newport, Rhode Island. It is now held annually in New York City. Since 1978, the event has been held at the Billy Jean King National Tennis Centre on hard courts.

Features of the US Open:

  • The prize fund is determined by the organisers and amounts to tens of millions of dollars. In 2021, it was $57.5 million.

  • Now in the US Open, as in other Grand Slams, when the score in a match reaches 6-6 in the third set for women and fifth set for men, a tie-break is played to 10 points ('first to 10'). Previously, a standard tie-break ('first to 7') was played in the tournament.

  • There are 128 athletes each in the two main singles tournaments. In the two doubles events, there are 64 duos each and 32 in the mixed doubles tournament from 2020.

  • Matches are traditionally played over 15 days in late summer and early autumn. Roger Federer is regarded as a legend of the tournament. He won the US Open five consecutive times between 2004 and 2008.

Australian Open

The Australian Open Tennis Championships is one of four Grand Slams. The tournament was first held in 1905 and got its current name in 1969. The Australian Open now takes place in Melbourne on the hard courts of the Melbourne Park Complex.

Features of the Australian Open:

  • There are 128 athletes each in the two singles events. In the men's, women's and mixed doubles there are 64 duets duos.

  • Men play in five sets, women in three sets. At 6:6 in the third set for women and fifth set for men, a 'first to 10' tie-break shall be played.

  • The total prize money for the championships is more than $50 million. In 2022, it reached the $54 million mark. The men's winner receives the Norman Brooks Cup and the women's winner receives the Daphne Ackhurst Memorial Cup.

  • The Australian Open is held in late January or early February. The tournament lasts for 2 weeks.

Roland Garros

The Internationaux de France de Tennis or Roland Garros is one of the Grand Slams. It takes place annually in Paris, many courts all over the city is used and the final is played at the Roland Garros stadium. The tournament was first held in 1891 and gained international status in 1925.

Roland Garros features:

  • Roland Garros is considered to be the most physically demanding of international tennis tournaments. This is due to the characteristics of clay courts.

  • Like the other Grand Slams, there are 128 athletes each in singles and 64 duos in doubles. Until 2021, there were 96 tennis players in the women's tournament. In 2021 there were only 32 duos in the mixed doubles competition.

  • The total prize money at Roland Garros exceeds €40 million. In 2022, the singles winners receive €2.2 million.

  • The men's winner receives the Coupe des Mousquetaires and the women's winner receives the Coupe Suzanne Lenglen.

Wimbledon

  • The first day of play at Wimbledon is on the last Monday in June. The tournament runs for a fortnight.

Olympics

Tennis was first included in the Olympic Games in 1896, but was abolished at the Paris Olympics in 1924. Tennis returned to the Olympic programme only in 1988.

Features of tennis at the Olympics:

  • The singles tournament grid includes 64 competitors each. In the men's and women's doubles competitions there are 32 duets and 16 in the mixed events.

  • There are now five sets of medals to be won in tennis at the Olympics.

  • Since 2016, the ATP has not awarded ranking points to tennis players for their performance at the Olympics.

ATP

The ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) is dedicated to protecting the interests of professional tennis players, organising and hosting competitions in the sport. The most famous ATP tournaments are included in the ATP Tour and are divided into 3 series:

  • ATP 250. The lowest ranking of the ATP professional tennis tournaments. Includes 39 tournaments. A tennis player receives 250 ranking points for winning any of them.

  • ATP 500. A series of 13 professional tennis tournaments run by the ATP. Winning any of them earns a tennis player 500 ranking points.

  • ATP Masters 1000. An annual series of nine professional tennis tournaments. The ATP Masters 1000 events feature the best players on the ATP Tour.

The ATP Finals concludes the ATP Tour season. This is the second highest level of the men's tennis tournament. It features the top 8 players in singles and 8 duos in doubles. ATP also organises the ATP Challenger Tour and ATP Champions Tour tournaments.

WTA

The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) was founded in 1973. It runs a series of top professional women's tennis competitions. WTA competitions are held in more than 30 countries and the total prize money exceeds $145 million. In fact, the WTA is the equivalent of the ATP for women.

Davis Cup

The Davis Cup is the largest international men's team tennis competition. It was first held in 1900. The tournament now takes place annually. Qualifying qualifiers are played in February and the main trophy is played at the end of November.

Davis Cup features:

  • The world group for the main trophy consists of 18 teams: 4 semi-finalists from the previous season, 12 teams who won the qualifying meetings and 2 teams who received a wild card.

  • Each match includes four singles and one doubles match. All games are played to two winning win sets.

  • The prize fund for the tournament is more than $20 million. It is distributed directly to the tennis players through their national federations.

For women, there is a similar team tournament — the Billie Jean King Cup (formerly the Fed Cup).

Tennis Betting Offers

Betting sites often give bonuses and promotions to tennis betting fans. Newcomers are usually offered a free bet for a deposit, a first qualifying bet or simply for registering. This can be used when betting on tennis or any other sports tournaments.

Many bookmakers have bonuses for already registered players as well. They can get free bets or other bonuses.

When choosing a bonus, it is important to consider the conditions for receiving it, the wagering and its use. Particular attention should be paid to the following aspects:

  • Deposit method restrictions. Often free bets are only issued to players who make deposits by bank card and are almost always unavailable to those who deposit from Skrill or Neteller wallets. Sometimes there are qualifying deposit amount requirements set.

  • Qualifying bet requirements. Tennis best online betting sites often limit the minimum odds, the amount of the first bet, and sometimes the sports on which it can be spent.

  • Type of bets. Often there are also restrictions on the type of bet. For example, free bets may only be allowed to be spent on single bets.

  • Wager. It indicates how many times bet credits in sports betting must be rolled before winnings can be withdrawn. Wagering is also subject to wagering requirements in terms of amounts, min odds and other parameters.

  • Type of bonus. The most common reward is free bets. Less often bet credits are offered. They differ in their terms of use, for example, free bets cannot be divided into multiple bets.

Some tennis betting sites impose other restrictions, such as max qualifying bet stake. Read the terms and conditions of each offer carefully before you activate any bonus.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the best bookmaker for tennis?

William Hill is the most balanced bookmaker for tennis betting. Here you'll find a comprehensive line, competitive odds, streaming, cashouts and interesting offers like enhanced odds. But every player has to consider his own needs. Smarkets, for example, offer higher odds, but there is a much smaller selection of bets. So first decide what you need and choose your bookmaker based on that.

Is betting on tennis profitable?

Theoretically, betting on tennis can make a profit, but that doesn't mean you'll be the lucky one who makes money. Bet for your own pleasure and treat betting as a pastime or hobby.

What does 21.5 mean in tennis?

It is most likely to refer to the predicted number of games played over the course of the match in Women's tennis. If you think it will be close then you can bet over 21.5 games, and if I player wins (6-4, 7-5) then that is a total of 22 and you win, or also if it goes to a third set you would also almost certainly have a winning bet. If however it is not close and a player wins (6-2, 6-3) then that is just a total of 17 games and your bet would lose.

Although it is most likely that 21.5 would mean the total games in a Women's tennis match it could occur in a number of other markets, for example, the total number of Aces in the game, or the total number of games in a Men's match (although this would be very rare).

Who has the best app for tennis betting?

The application itself plays no role. What's important is what's inside it. Specifically, the number of tournaments, the variation of market, the odds and the extra features. You should therefore focus on bookmakers' features and not on their mobile apps. Software plays a secondary role in tennis betting.

How often do favorites win in Tennis?

There is a direct correlation between tournament status and winning percentage. Simply put, the higher the status of the tournament, the more often the pre-match favourites win. According to information from 2007 to 2016, the statistics for favourite wins are as follows:

  • ATP 250 - 68.5%

  • ATP 500 - 70.5%

  • ATP Masters - 70.8%

  • Grand Slam Tournaments - 78.9%

If a player retires, what happens to my tennis bet?

The bookmakers have different answers to this question. In best of two matches (to two winning sets), two rules usually apply. If the first set is played to the end, but then one of the players fails to continue, bets are paid out. If a match ends in a technical defeat in the first set, wagers are refunded. Live bets will be refunded if they are placed during a set, which ended in a technical defeat. Read the rules carefully.

Are online tennis betting sites safe?

Yes. All the tennis betting sites listed in the article are licensed by the UKGC. This means that these bookmakers are legal in the UK and they are safe and reliable.

Can I place a bet for tennis using my phone?

Of course. You can bet via a mobile version of a website or an Android / iOS app.

What is the total over/under games tennis betting market?

This is a betting market for the total number of games in a match. The task is to predict whether the tennis players will score total over or under the suggested value. Usually bookies will give you several options for total games betting to choose from.

What is the best bet in tennis?

Bookmakers offer many betting markets on tennis: match winner, totals, handicaps, exact scores, statistics, combined bets and even long term bets on tournament winners. Everyone chooses their own bets according to their own preferences and knowledge. The best bet is the one you are sure of.

What 22.5 means in tennis?

This number draws the line in calculating the number of games in a match to calculate the total bet. The bettor is asked to bet on a total " over" or " under" this value. Roughly speaking, you can think of this bet as answering the question of whether there will be a third set in the match. If the first two sets end at least 6-3-3-6, that's 18 games, and the total will be over.
