Fan passes away during Bayern vs. Benfica Champions League match

During the fourth-round Champions League match between Bayern Munich and Benfica, a fan tragically passed away.

The match began with a 15-minute delay due to disruptions in the Munich metro caused by pyrotechnics used by Portuguese supporters.

At the start of the game, a spectator at the Allianz Arena fell ill. Medical staff battled for around 20 minutes to save the fan's life, but unfortunately, they were unsuccessful. In light of this tragedy, flags at the stadium were lowered to half-mast and fans from both teams ceased their active support.

Bayern won the match 1-0 with a goal from Jamal Musiala.

Munich's team is currently 16th in the Champions League standings with six points, while the Lisbon club is in 19th place with the same number of points.

In the next round, Vincent Kompany's team will host Paris Saint-Germain on November 26.
