We calculated the margin for McBookie by analysing the odds they offer and placed them into one of the following three categories:

From 1% to 5%: Good value

Over 5% to 7%: Average value

Over 7% to 10%: Poor value

We got our results by taking the "Match result" odds and also the over/under 2.5 goals odds for different matches in different football leagues. Getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and the overall betting margin for the bookmaker.

McBookie has an overall average margin of 6.75% for football and falls in the average category. In the first section with Premier League and Championship, the margin is at 6.33%. The second section with Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A, the margin is at 6.34%. Finally, taking matches from around the rest of the world into account, the margin is at 7.57%.

McBookie currently has 32 different sports that you can place a bet on. They cover sports from all around the world and also have a “Virtual” betting section. The sports categories are indicated in the “A-Z Betting” section and include the following sports: American Football, Australian Rules Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Cycling, Darts, Esports, Football, Formula One, Gaelic Football, Gaelic Hurling, Golf, Greyhound Racing, Handball, Horse Racing, Ice Hockey, Mixed Martial Arts, Motorsport, Politics, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Snooker, Table Tennis, Tennis, TV & Specials, Volleyball, and Winter Olympics.

Live Betting 

If you enjoy betting during a game, McBookie offers a wide range of In-Play betting options. They offer In-Play markets for sports such as tennis, golf, football, and basketball. Detailed In-Play stats are also available, allowing you to adjust your bets on the fly depending on how the match goes.

Live streaming

Unfortunately, McBookie does not offer live streaming. 

However, it has a “Blog” tab where you can find journalistic content. This section has written pundit pieces on upcoming sports events. The preview pieces contain tips and are mostly available in Football and Horse Racing markets.

McBookie has a highly effective sports betting app, which most of its devoted customers have already downloaded. The app is free and is available for all Android and iOS customers via Google Play or the App Store.

To wager on the many sporting events available, you must first register for a McBookie account. It allows you to make deposits and use the sportsbook and casino sections. Registering at McBookie is quick and easy. There are multiple screens to go through, but each step makes the requirements very clear, and it should not take more than five minutes to complete from start to finish.

1. To begin, navigate to the McBookie homepage and click the green “Sign Up” icon. You will find the McBookie registration tab on the right-hand side of the main page between “Login” and “FAQ”. Click here, and this will open the first form that you need to fill in. 

2. The first page asks you to enter your email address. Note that the email address that you use here should be your main email account. McBookie also requires you to create a password here. Ideally, use a minimum of eight characters and include at least one digit. If all the details are correct, click “Create Account”.

3. The second page asks for a few personal details. You are required to choose the title you would like to be addressed by. They also require your name (first and last). You must also input your date of birth. Note that McBookie adheres to age restrictions. It requires that all new bettors be over 18 years of age. All information given here must match what appears on your photographic ID for easy verification.

4. The next step requires you to provide a few contact details; enter your contact phone number. You are also required to enter your postcode. McBookie has a “Search” tab, but if your address does not appear, add it manually. Once you input your postcode, additional screens will appear. They require you to confirm your address, town, and country. You should also confirm the currency that you wish to use. Here we confirmed that we would use GBP. 

5. The next step requires you to confirm how you would like to receive McBookie offers. There are three options here: Email, SMS, or telephone. To confirm, tick the “Yes” or “ No” checkboxes provided. Once you confirm that all the details are correct and that you have read and understood the T&Cs, click on the “Agree and Join” icon. Your account is now ready, and you will receive a confirmation email from McBookie.     

The depositing process at McBookie is quick and straightforward. The first thing to do is log into your customer account. The rest of the process is divided into several steps, which we have simplified for you here. 

To make a deposit on your McBookie account, follow the steps below: 

1. After accessing your account, click the “Deposit” tab. The tab can be found in the top right-hand corner of the bookmaker’s homepage next to the “My Bets” and “My Account” icons. The page that appears when you click on it is the panel with all your account details.

2. From here, you can check your credit balance, account number, and how much money you have in Free bet credits. Scroll down and select the “Deposit” icon from the drop-down menu. Tapping on the slider will take you to the allowable payment methods by McBookie.

3. If it is your first time depositing funds into your McBookie account, you must choose a suitable payment method. Choose a logo from one of the options indicated. In this example, we used a Visa debit card. Next, enter the payment details, including the card number, expiry date and security code. If the details are correct, click on the “Pay Securely.” 

4. The last window is where you enter the amount you wish to deposit. You must also acknowledge the fund protection policy. We recommend accessing the T&C section to read the policy. If you have understood the terms, authorise the transaction by clicking on the green “Deposit” icon.

Placing a bet at McBookie is easy. The bookmaker has also made it easier by developing a uniform betting process that applies across all sports. If you want to bet on basketball, football, etc., follow the steps below.

1. Firstly, navigate to the “Sports” section on the bookmaker’s homepage. Clicking the sports lobby will present a page divided into various sections on the left side of the screen. The popular section has quick links for the sports that you have recently viewed. Otherwise, clicking on “A-Z Betting” will bring up the complete list in alphabetical order so you can find the sport you want.

2. In this example, we have clicked on “Football.” This section is divided into the various competitions that McBookie offers odds on. If your preferred league is not among the quick links provided, use the search box to find your preferred competition. Inside this section, you will be shown all the upcoming games and all the latest offers and price boosts relevant to this sport.

3. If you are not betting In-Play, and are looking for a regular match, then click on the competitions tab. It will bring up a breakdown of every tournament on which McBookie offers odds. Here we chose the UEFA Champions League and then the Manchester City vs Real Madrid match.

4. When we opened the Manchester City vs Real Madrid match, the page displayed some helpful statistics. We could see when the game would be taking place. On this page, you can scroll down to view all their different betting options. In this case, we bet on Manchester City to win and for both teams to score. 

5. Once you have clicked on the odds, a new betslip will open on the right of the screen to confirm what it is you are betting on. Simply enter your chosen stake in the provided space, and the projected returns will be generated for you to review. If you are happy with everything, click on “Place Bet”. 

To withdraw from any bookmaker, you will need to be logged in to your customer account. At McBookie, you can click the “Log In” icon at the top right corner of the homepage. You’ll need your email and password to access your account. After logging into your account, follow these steps to withdraw funds:

1. The first step after logging into your McBookie customer account is to confirm your available balance. To view your balance, navigate to the top right corner of the screen. If the account balance is within the set limit, navigate further to your right and click on the “My Account” icon.

2. Clicking on “My Account” will take you to a new page showing all your account details. Click on the “Withdraw” icon. If you originally made your deposit using a debit card, you will need to process your withdrawal through the same method. In this example, we clicked on the Visa debit card logo and confirmed the card details.

3. Next, you should enter the amount you would like to withdraw. Finalise the process by clicking on the green “Withdraw” icon to submit your request. If all the details are correct, you will receive funds in your account within the stipulated withdrawal time.
