Rakhmonov names desired opponent for UFC 310

Undefeated Kazakh UFC fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov has revealed his preferred opponent for the upcoming UFC 310 event in December. 

«I am ready to step in and save the event if I'm given the chance to fight for the interim title. I believe Kamaru Usman would be a worthy opponent. He might be able to prepare in time and compete,» Rakhmonov stated in an interview with Ariel Helwani.

Originally, Rakhmonov was slated to face Belal Muhammad in the main event of UFC 310 for the official league belt, but the American pulled out due to injury.

Rakhmonov has won all 18 of his mixed martial arts career fights. The 29-year-old Kazakh fighter last fought in December 2023, where he defeated Stephen Thompson with a submission hold.
