Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the ATP Paris match.
Fritz, still struggling to find rhythm after his Tokyo final, arrives in Paris aiming to win back-to-back matches for the first time in weeks. His opponent, Aleksandar Vukic, enters the tournament with a negative season record (28-36).
Taylor Fritz
Following his Laver Cup success and runner-up finish in Tokyo, where he lost to Alcaraz, Fritz’s form dipped noticeably. He fell to Mpetshi Perricard in Shanghai and Humbert in Basel — both times in his second match of the event. However, against lower-ranked players outside the top 100, the American remains dominant, winning all nine such matches this season.
Aleksandar Vukic
Vukic’s year has been disappointing — he has been eliminated in the first round of 22 out of 34 tournaments. In Paris, he came through qualifying by beating compatriot Adam Walton and France’s Terence Atmane, but dropped a set in each match. Over his last 18 matches, he has recorded only two straight-set wins. His head-to-head record against Fritz is poor: three defeats, including two 0-2 scorelines.
Taylor Fritz vs Aleksandar Vukic Prediction
Even if Fritz is not at his peak, his level and power should be far too much for Vukic, who struggles for consistency. Expect the American to control the match from the baseline and advance comfortably.
