Midfielder Ilkay Gundogan will return to Manchester City as a free agent from Barcelona. This was reported by insider Fabrizio Romano on social media.

The 33-year-old German midfielder will sign a contract with the Citizens until the summer of 2025.

Gundogan moved to Barcelona in the summer of 2023 as a free agent after seven years at City. During his time with the English club, the German midfielder won the English championship five times.
