Juventus and Nice will have different objectives next season, but for now they will meet on the same pitch at a stadium in Turin in a friendly match.
Juventus
Juventus' management, as usual, have set winning the Scudetto as the season's objective, but given their sixth-place finish last season, it is hard to believe in it for now. They are set to compete in the league phase of the Europa League, while Nice are the club that played in the Europa League last season. Luciano Spalletti's team have not yet played a single friendly, and after Nice they will face the much more prestigious Chelsea and Inter. They will surely field far from a first-choice side against the French team.
Nice
On the one hand, Nice did indeed qualify for the Europa League thanks to a successful 2024/25 season (fourth place) and initially even reached the Conference League qualifiers, but it came back to haunt them with a prolonged crisis in the middle of the league campaign and the danger of relegation through the play-offs. They avoided the worst, but the team have not become significantly stronger. Jérémie Boga, who was regularly getting game time there, was permanently sold to Juventus. So far, the Eaglets have made only free incoming transfers, which says a lot about their resources.
Juventus vs Nice Prediction
Although Juventus are far from their former glory, they are still good enough to beat Nice at home even without a fully first-choice line-up. We are backing the Bianconeri to win this friendly.
