Energybet was established in 2012 as Energy Casino and launched their sportsbook in 2016. EnergyBet is licensed in Malta and the United Kingdom. They operate under the parent company “Probe Investments Limited” with their main offices being located in Malta. Their Sportsbook is created in house and enhanced by BetConstruct, one of the top bookmaker software providers.
We calculated the margin for EnergyBet by analyzing the odds they offer. We further ranked them in one of the following three categories:
From 1% to 5%: Good value
Over 5% to 7%: Average value
Over 7% to 10%: Poor value
Football
We got our results by taking into account the odds for final result outcomes measured in line with the over / under for different football leagues. Getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and the overall betting margin for the bookmaker.
EnergyBet has an overall average margin of 5.91% for football and falls in the normal category. In the first section with Premier League and Championship, the margin is at 5.77%. The second section with Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A, the margin is at 5.85%. Finally, taking the English Football League One, Austrian Bundesliga and Polish Ekstraklasa into account, the margin is at 6.09%.
Range of Sports: There is an incredibly diverse range of “Sports” to bet on here, some 45 at time of writing. However, it should be noted that these included a number of “E-Sports” listed individually though. It is disappointing to note that there are no Horse Racing markets available.
Range of Bets and Markets: The most markets are available on Major football Leagues which is standard. You can get well over 100 to choose from including Asian Handicaps and alternative over/under goals markets. Other sports are more limited than most, often covering the basics but not much else. You are still likely to find the bet you want though and at highly competitive odds. EnergyBet is making a name for themselves and is here to compete.
Betting Limits: Bet limits are average, and for any major event likely to be more than your requested size.
EnergyBet's Live Betting service is more than adequate and the live calendar is a useful feature where you can choose between “MultiView” and “Single View”. There is also an option of placing single and multi bets. Unfortunately, there is no live streaming at present but it is hoped to be added soon.
