All reviewsReview of the bookmaker Stake from Legalbet
Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani were pivotal in the development of Stake.com, which was launched in 2017. Stake first became available in the United Kingdom in December 2021 in collaboration with TGP Europe Limited.
Operations in the UK are overseen by TGP Europe Limited, licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission.
Odds — normal
The margin for Stake has been calculated by taking the odds available on a range of markets and leagues from around the world. The average of these odds when combined leads us to lableing the odds at each site:
From 1% to 5%: Good value
Over 5% to 7%: Average value
Over 7% to 10%: Poor value
Football
We got our results by taking into account the odds for final result outcomes measured in line with the over / under for different football leagues. Getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and the overall betting margin for the bookmaker. The latest results for Stake are:
UK Leagues (Premier League & Championship)
5.28%
European Leagues (La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga)
4.80%
Rest of the World (Turkish Süper Lig, Australian A League, United States MLS)
6.21%
Stake has an overall average margin of 5.43% for football and falls in the normal category. The data and specifics of how these odds were complied can be viewed at the link below:
Betting options — normal
Betting Markets
Stake covers leagues and competitions from all over the globe. It also has “Virtual” betting options for several sports, such as Basketball, Tennis, and Football. The sports categories listed are American Football, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Cycling, Darts, Esports +, E-Football, Football, Golf, Ice Hockey, MMA, Motorsport, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Tennis, and Snooker.
Live — normal
Live Betting
Stake has a good selection of sports available for live betting. The “Live” section contains thousands of games for bettors. The bookmaker offers live betting on various sports, including Football, Tennis, and Basketball. Unlike other bookmakers, the live betting icon is not a solo tab; you have to access the lobby from the “Sportsbook” tab.
Live streaming
Unfortunately, Stake does not offer live streaming. However, it features some TV sports coverage in the In-Play area. There is a helpful section that provides statistical detail and images to immerse you in the action as much as possible.
Stake Mobile App
Stake does not have a mobile app available to users. The mobile browser website, on the other hand, is great. It lets bettors access Stake while on the go, provided their mobile device has a browser. Furthermore, the site is well-optimised, so it loads quickly, and there are no restrictions on what customers may access.
How to Register at Stake
Before using any of the Stake website services, you must open an account there. Registering at Stake is quick and straightforward. The sign-up process is simple and takes only a few minutes to complete.
Follow the steps below to set up your Stake account:
The first step is to navigate to the Stake.uk.com main page to begin the sign-up procedure. Then, click the blue “Join” button. The button can be found in the upper right-hand corner of the bookmaker’s homepage, adjacent to the “Login” icon.
By clicking the “Join” button, you will be taken to Stake’s welcome page. It includes a statement that confirms that they follow safe gambling practices. They provide quick links to a budget calculator and the bookmaker’s play-safe tools. By clicking the “Continue” icon, you certify that you agree to Stake’s customer protection policies, and you will be taken to the first registration overlay page.
The first window that appears requires you to enter some personal information. Begin by selecting your gender. Next, enter your name, birth date, and email address. Please remember that the information you enter here will be utilised for verification and to validate withdrawals. Once you’ve confirmed it’s correct, click “Next.”
The second window requests your contact details. You must first confirm that you are a UK resident. Next, enter your phone number, postal code, address, and city. There is also an option for a second address. Click the “Next” icon once you have double-checked the information to speed up the verification process.
The third window is where you create your Stake account. It has two sections. In the first section, pick a unique username and create a strong password. The next step is to set deposit limits. Use the sliders to choose whether to set a daily, weekly, or monthly limit.
Next is where you allow Stake to send you special offers, deposit boosts, and exclusive promotions. You can choose one method or tick the check box to allow all. How to Deposit at Stake
Depositing at Stake is also made easy for you. The first thing to do is log into your account.
Follow the steps below to make your first deposit on Stake:
You must first decide which deposit method you wish to use. After logging into your Stake account, navigate to the upper right-hand corner of the screen and click your profile icon to access the cashier section. You can also access the cashier section by clicking the “Wallet” icon in the main lobby.
The panel appears in the cashier section, where you can complete your financial transactions. Navigate to the “Deposit” icon and click on it to see all the deposit methods that Stake allows. Stake requires you to confirm your account details, such as your name and date of birth, before completing the deposit process.
Clicking on the “Deposit” icon will display a page where you can enter an amount to deposit with an existing payment method, for example, a debit card. This is also where you enter the promo code and acknowledge Stake’s policy on funds protection.
How to Bet at Stake
Placing a bet at Stake is easy to do, and no matter what you want to bet on, the steps you follow will always be the same.
The first step is to choose the sport you want to bet on. There are two options here. You can use the quick links or navigate to the “Sportsbook” section in the main lobby. The “Sportsbook” is divided into “Top Leagues,” which has the most popular leagues and competitions, and a “Menu.” The “Menu” has a complete list of all the sports that Stake has odds for.
In this instance, we choose “Football.” When you click on this section, a drop-down menu displaying all Stake’s betting markets (countries and continents) appears. When we selected England, we could see all the competitions that Stake features. We choose the Premier League.
The Premier League section is divided into “By League” and “By Time.” The “By League” section lists all the live and upcoming games. The “By Time” section lists the team by what time they will play chronologically. If you are not betting In-Play, scroll down and choose one of the upcoming games.
Here we chose the Brighton vs Man City match, which will be played on 25th May 2023. On this page, you can scroll down to view all their betting markets that Stake has odds for, but we will simply bet on Man City to win.
Once you have clicked on the odds, a new betslip will open on the right of the screen, confirming what you are betting on. Here you just enter your desired stake in the box, and the estimated returns will be automatically calculated for you to see. If you are happy with everything, click on “Place Bet”.
How to Withdraw at Stake
To withdraw from any bookmaker, you must be logged in and have a withdrawable balance. However, ensure that you have used the funds to place a bet and that bonus constraints do not bind them.
So, at Stake, you need to do the following:
If you have the minimum withdrawal amount of £20 available, click the “Wallet” icon at the top of the screen to access the withdrawal cashier section. You can also access this section by navigating to the top right of the homepage.
The cashier section is divided into various sbu-sections. To proceed, first, navigate to the “Withdraw” icon. Select the withdrawal method you intend to use from the drop-down menu that appears. Take these steps to initiate the withdrawal process smoothly and efficiently.
After clicking the debit card option, you will automatically see the card details you last used to deposit. Enter the amount you want to withdraw and click the “Withdraw” icon. The funds will be reflected in your account within the specified withdrawal time.
